Types of Roofing

Asphalt

Asphalt shingles are one of the most widely used roofing cover in North America because they are relatively inexpensive, aesthetically pleasing, long lasting, and is easy to install. Asphalt roof shingles use fiberglass matt saturated in asphalt and covered with rock granules for a water-tight seal and durability. Shepley offers a variety of asphalt roofing shingles, ranging in style and color.

Cedar

Wood shingles or shakes can also be used for roof covering, and they can provide a historically accurate, durable, and extremely appealing roof covering. Western red cedar and Alaskan Yellow Cedar are the most popular wood species, each sharing excellent traits for a long lasting roof.

Rubber

Low slope roofs are commonly seen in modern home designs, over porch areas, or in commercial applications. For these applications, rubber roofing is ideal because it is durable, pliable, and waterproof. Rubber roofs are designed to go in places where asphalt shingles don’t perform well as they create an impermeable membrane over a solid surface.
