Read MoreThis holiday season, we challenged our employees to support our community and give back to those in need. Our employees joined together and formed 8 teams to support the causes that mean the most to them. Over the past few weeks, they have been busy planning bake sales, shopping for kids in need, and organizing food and toy drives. Now you can join the fun and help us spread holiday joy across the Cape.
If you like to participate, donations can be dropped off at our Hyannis Sales Office at 216 Thornton Drive.
Over the 65 years of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program, Marines have distributed more than 400 million toys to more than 188 million needy children. This charitable endeavor has made U.S. Marines the unchallenged leader in looking after less fortunate children at Christmas. Join us in making the holidays special for children across the Cape by donating new, unwrapped toys now through December 18th.
The Animal Rescue League of Boston is committed to keeping animals safe and healthy in habitats and homes by veterinary care, adoption, and rescue services. Our Interior Trim team will be holding bake sales at our Hyannis Sales Office on Friday, November 30th and Friday, December 7th to support the Brewster Animal Shelter. They are also collecting supplies from the list below.
Every kid needs a warm pair of winter boots, especially in New England. The Salvation Army’s Kids ‘N Boots program helps put warm boots on the feet of children who need them. Our Estimating and Engineering departments are collecting donations of new and “like new” winter boots (all kids’ sizes).
The Family Pantry of Cape Cod is committed to providing food and clothing to those in need. Our Operations Team is collecting non-perishable food items for the Family Pantry of Cape Cod now through December 3rd.
A Baby Center supplements critical basic needs that ensure the good health and safety of babies in need who live on Cape Cod and the Islands. These services are provided at no cost to clients. Our Sales Teams are working together to collect toys, clothing, diapers, wipes, formula etc. for A Baby Center. All donations must be new and unwrapped. Visit them, along with Quench Training and Little Miss Cupcape, at Hyannis Christmas Stroll on December 1st as they work together to gather donations.
Boston Shriners Hospital is a destination of choice for parents whose children have orthopaedic problems, spinal cord injuries, burns, cleft lip, and other complex surgical needs. Care is funded by the Shriners Hospitals for Children endowment, which is sustained by donations. All children receive care regardless of the families’ ability to pay. The Shepley Showcase is collecting donations for Boston Shriners Hospital, a cause very close to their hearts. Please visit their fundraising page to read more about their story. https://donate.lovetotherescue.org/fundraiser/1766502
The Salvation Army’s Dress A Live Doll program matches a donor with a child to buy clothing and gifts for a child in need. Our Finance and Purchasing teams are sponsoring children and have been shopping for clothing to outfit them from head to toe and give them an unforgettable holiday.
Angel House is a HAC-operated family shelter in Hyannis for homeless women, who are recovering from drug and alcohol addiction, and their children. Angel House typically shelters 13 mothers and 20-26 children for approximately 12 months.
