It’s here! The new electric operator from Andersen Windows is now available. Long last, Andersen has introduced PowerAssistTM technology for 400 series awning windows, A-Series awning windows, and venting transom windows. This power operator system is controlled by a wall-mounted console. Each console can operate up to four individual units up to150 feet away. This easy to install system features a concealed window power drive, battery back–up in case of a power outage, and a moisture sensor that automatically closes the window when it rains. A wireless remote control is also available which is capable of controlling multiple windows operated from different control consoles.
400 Series awnings windows can be ordered prepped from the factory or as a field applied retro kit. A-Series awnings and venting transom windows are only available as field installed retro kit at this time. The electric motor driver requires field installation even with the factory prepped option to protect the power driver from damage during the construction process.
The retro kit option is available on single 400 Series awning windows manufactured after 1999 within widths from 24 1/8“ – 59 7/8” with a minimum of 4 9/16”, four-sided jamb depth. A-Series awning windows and venting transom windows are available as field applied retro kit only for units with widths between 25 1⁄4” – 59 1⁄4”. The electric operator requires an insect screen to operate.
