Paul G. Richard Millwork Co. started in 1978. Over the years they’ve produced kitchen cabinets, entertainment units, raised panel walls, custom interiors, exterior doors and window sash. In 1998 Paul teamed up with Shepley and moved his operation to the Shepley yard at 216 Thornton Drive in Hyannis. He’s continued to produce high quality custom millwork and keeps investing in his business for continued growth. Adding the CNC router a few years back, which his son Jeremy Richard runs, has brought this shops capabilities and precision to a new level.
Once all the details are nailed down, and your homeowner customer has made all their selections, and the product is produced, if it is a paint job, Shepley can prime the product, in house in the Shepley Paint Shop, at a minimal cost. Shepley has been priming wood products for over 29 years and has truly mastered not only the process but the science behind priming. Shepley uses only the highest quality primer and coats products on all 6 sides for a complete seal. Lineal product is hand fed into a machine, checked for consistency when it comes out, and then dried on racks in a highly ventilated, temperature controlled building. Shepley recently invested in a buffer that gives the primed product a nice smooth face finish that painters love. Please consider having your next project primed and buffed by Shepley’s paint shop. It’s a true time and cost saver.
Last and certainly not least, the heart of the Shepley Shops is the Shepley Production and Andersen Assembly Shop. This shop pulls products together and preps them for delivery to your job site. Andersen slider frames are set up, bay units are assembled, and units are mulled (if not factory mulled) in-house for ease of installation and quality control. Interior trim kits, for windows and doors, are cut to size and labeled corresponding to a job site take-off that is done by your Shepley interior trim team. Your Shepley interior rep will then label the windows, on site, with the kit numbers. This is a another huge time and cost saver!
Exterior trim window surrounds are assembled and precision fit to any size and style window. Surrounds by Shepley are manufactured from 100% cellular PVC board stock (or wood by request). Joints are glued and pocket screwed as a superior way to keep joints tight. We make ceiling scuttles, built to order, and shop doors that are insulated for unfinished attic spaces.
