About the Blitz
Once again HBRACC members will build ONE HOME, FOR ONE FAMILY, IN ONE WEEK - the professional builders, together with their vendors, donated all of the labor, materials and supplies for this affordable home to be purchased by a local family in the 2022 Blitz Build.

Why?
To bring awareness to the increasing issue of the lack of workforce housing on the Cape...homes that our working singles and families can afford allowing them to stay here and contribute to the future of Cape Cod.
How do we do it?
The 2022 Blitz house, three-bedroom ranch, is one of ten affordable homes being constructed on Willett Way in Falmouth. It is a 5.5 acre site that was purchased with Town of Falmouth Community Preservation Act funds by Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod.
Hundreds of members of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Cape Cod (HBRACC) donate supplies and volunteer countless hours of skilled labor to build one home for one family in one week.
Crews lined up one after the other, working within their area of expertise including: framing, sheathing, siding, roofing, interior finish, painting and appliance installation. Project managers worked closely with town building inspectors to ensure that all aspects of the home met building codes.

Founded in 1950, HBRACC is a volunteer-driven trade Association, consisting of hundreds of member companies, representing thousands of industry professionals on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. The Association includes builders and remodelers, suppliers, subcontractors and other associates. Home Builders’ Blitz is a nationwide partnership of Habitat for Humanity and National Home Builders Association. !
HBRACC and Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod kick off Blitz Build 2022
Members of HBRACC along with Habitat for Humanity, recently celebrated the official kick-off the 2022 Blitz Build. A Blitz Build is a home that is built from frame to finish in one week to bring awareness to the affordable housing crisis on Cape Cod.
